Cheatwood Media Group is not your average “consulting firm” staffed by cookie cutter professionals. We are experienced, we are dedicated, and we have a passion for creating content that raises eyebrows and elicits viewer “wows”. We firmly believe in substance, but we understand the value in style with an edge. We also know how to execute and deliver what we promise. Sure, we can tell you what you want to hear, throw out a few cool graphs and charts to support our opinions, and send you on your way. But WE think the best path towards success in any media-related endeavor is one that delves into specific client needs: who they are, where they want to be, where they CAN be, and how to get them there. Ours is a hands-on approach that allows us to teach our clients how to be better and more relevant to today’s changing audience.

We are media mentors.

We have a strong background in problem-solving, overhauling newsrooms, redefining program opportunities, developing and/or expanding networks, coaching individual talent, and finding ways to integrate “new media” (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, TicToc, broad band) with “old” (local and national broadcast operations) and are eager to help our clients look for new/better opportunities. We’ve worked with some of the largest news and entertainment organizations in the world, provided guidance for newborn streamers, and coached a variety of “on air” individuals looking to build and/or expand their brand. When it comes to dipping a toe into the evolving world of media—in every iteration it’s currently found in—you name it, chances are good we’ve already done it, and are ready to dive back in.

CMG is based in the greater New York City area and managed by co-founders Joel and Neva Cheatwood. They are supported by a CMG team representing all the various disciplines in the industry.
